I always wondered what my daughters hair would be like from the moment I found out I was pregnant with a girl. I thought she would have curly thick hair right from the womb. My hair is naturally tightly curled, kinky, and thick. My husbands hair is naturally straight, black, and extremely thick. I imagined that my daughter would come out the womb with thick, curly, black hair. The day she was born she did have a head full of hair but it was straight. I thought "okay that's fine her hair will curl up at three months. I Googled it". Well three months came around and still no sign of curls. Looking back on it I will admit my expectations were high but when she hit three months I also expected her hair to be long enough for me to do something with it. Well her hair was even shorter at three months than when she was a newborn. I had no choice but to be patient, after all she wouldn't be bald forever. Finally around the six month mark my babies hair started growing really fast... And it was wavy. I was so excited to see some texture in there hahaha. I was beginning to think she would solely have her father's hair with no trace of mine. Well as the month went on her hair became even more curly and long. By the time she was one years old I could do about four different hairstyles in her hair. Her texture is so smooth. I can brush her hair straight but it pops back into its curls a few moments later. The back is a little more dry but Im not sure if thats because she sleeps on it. Oils are too much for her hair. I've tried coconut oil, olive oil, and jojoba oil in her hair. What I do to keep her hair moisturized is use lotion. I like the Aveeno, Burts Bees, and Shea Moisture brands. Which by the way they make baby lotions. My favorite though is hands down the baby lotion of Burts Bees. I'm sure our regiment will change and expand as she gets older but for now just lotion works.

My Favorite Essentisl Oils
Tea Tree Oil
<a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0014UFXCA/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0014UFXCA&linkCode=as2&tag=apricapa-20&linkId=5b6ac66e153b5d9eb43aefdf8e1074e4"><img border="0" src="//ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?_encoding=UTF8&MarketPlace=US&ASIN=B0014UFXCA&ServiceVersion=20070822&ID=AsinImage&WS=1&Format=_SL160_&tag=apricapa-20" ></a><img src="//ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=apricapa-20&l=am2&o=1&a=B0014UFXCA" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
Tea Tree Oil is so good for many reasons. I personally find that the NOW brand is the best bang for your buck. One of the ways I have used Tea Tree Oil is to help promote hair growth. You take ten to fifteen drops of tea tree oil, mix it with a carrier oil and apply liberally to your natural hair. I recommend jojoba oil, coconut oil. or olive oil as your carrier oil, all three are great. It's great to concentrate on the scalp because the tea tree oil really promotes healthy roots. Tie a plastic grocery store bag or use a shower cap on your hair for thirty minutest. This just really allows the oil to warm up and moisturize your hair better. After the thirty minutes your hair should be ready for a cleansing.
Clove Oil
<a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B002N0H36O/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B002N0H36O&linkCode=am2&tag=apricapa-20&linkId=544847b0d26fc676e066a3fe5a6174e2"><img border="0" src="//ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?_encoding=UTF8&MarketPlace=US&ASIN=B002N0H36O&ServiceVersion=20070822&ID=AsinImage&WS=1&Format=_SL160_&tag=apricapa-20" ></a><img src="//ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=apricapa-20&l=am2&o=1&a=B002N0H36O" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
Okay I don't know about you, but when it comes to me...I would rather give a natural birth again than deal with a toothache. My first experience with clove oil was back in 2012 or early 2013. I had a tooth that needed attention but sadly no insurance :( This meant praying, ibuprofen, warm cloths, mouth rinses and lots of other methods to try and ease the pain. I struggled with this tooth for a good year. I would never know when it would start throbbing in pain, but when it hit the pain was paralyzing. Noise, someone touching me, light bothered me and I just would cry wishing someone would punch the tooth out of me. Finally one day my mom bought the exact oil I have linked above. The NOW brand clove oil. I honestly didn't think it would help but it couldn't hurt trying. I wet a cotton ball of the clove oil and rubbed it all over my hurt tooth and the surrounding gums. I was carful not to swallow because that can be dangerous. Within moment the pain was gone. Needles to say I kept a bottle of this with me often and still due to this day.

These last four oils are the oils I combine to make a bug spray. This is a bug spray that I use when my family goes camping to the Thousand Islands, its the bug spray I use to spray my own home nightly to keep pest away, its the bug spray I love because its non-toxic and smells amazing. What I do is fill a spare spray bottle a little more than halfway with warm tap water. After I pour in 15 drops of each oil except for the Lavender. I pour in 25 drops of the Lavender because it make the smell more potent which I love. Shake well and spray onto your clothes, tent, bed, shoes, and body. This has been a blessing for our family.
